Kid Flash made his debut in Flash #110, in a story called "Meet Kid Flash," splash pictured above. Wally West is visitng the Flash when a lightning bolt splashed him with chemicals -- exactly the same way Flash got HIS powers. If you're wondering why he's white, well, originally, Wally West WAS white. Later, on the Flash TV show, they changed the character to be black. Then the comic later did the same.

Kid Flash joined Flash for several adventures, dressed in his original uniform, which was exactly like the Flash's uniform, only smaller. Wally kept this uniform until Flash #135. Where did the new look come from?

Well, it's one of those Silver Age "don't ask" kind of things. Basically, Flash was think about the uniform's design, and certain circumstances cause it to materialize in real life, on Wally! It looked like this...

When Flash was killed in the "Crisis on infinite Earths" series, Wally took over as The Flash for years, but we're not going to get into that now. So long Kid Flash!
