XIn LITTLE FUGITIVE (1953), a young boy named Lennie (Richard Brewster, pictured left) mistakenly believes that he shot and killed his older brother. His brother is only faking being shot, but the boy panics and runs away to Coney Island, a crowded New York beach resort.

Little Lennie spends the day drifting through the island's numerous attractions and hundreds of people. Not much happens, but the photography is stunning, and the scenes of Coney Island in the Fifties are like a time capsule.

AND -- in the beginning of the film, Lennie and his friends get together to read comic books! Numerous books are shown...

...but I didn't see any DC's or Marvels, just some very off-the-beaten track books from smaller publishers. Some of the covers seen are not recognizable -- but some are! For example...

I couldn't figure these out. Try your luck! They all seem to be from 1952 or 1953.
