SECRET ORIGINS
THE IDOL-HEAD of DIABOLU

What in the world is "The Idol Head of Diablou"? Well, its just the most dependable plot device ever invented, that's what! Back in 1965, DC published an adventure of the Martian Manhunter in each issue of "House of Mystery." The title was published every month, and in an astonishing coincidence, the Idol Head was a gateway to another world that unleashed a brand new MENACE every month! How lucky for the Idol Head's creators, writer Jack Miller (seen here as drawn by Neal Adams on a cover of Strange Adventures), and artist Joe Certa.
