THE MONKEES COMIC BOOK
DELl comics published an official MONKEES comic book from March 1967 to October 1969, lasting a total of seventeen issues. The stories (writer unknown) reflected the zany tone of the television series, with vetaran comic pro Jose Delbo providing some very nice artwork featuring cute and clever cartoony characitures of Peter, Mickey, Mike and Davey in all their goofy glory. Here's a particularly inventive story from The Monkees #10, titled "Whodunit?"

Naturally, THE MONKEEMEN showed up in the pages of The Monkees comic book, but for some reason, here, they were called The Supermonkees! (Special thanks to Al Bigley for these scans.) Up, up and away...

Hey, hey! There's The Monkeemen! See them? They're in the panel above, next to the Human Bomb and in front of Superman, and BELOW, they're right behind Red Robin, all wearing hoods! Notice Peter's pained expression. Is the grown-up Aqualad standing on his foot?
