Fake Cover:
DC's Day of Vengence #7

In DC's "Day of Vengence" mini-series, the Spectre is on a mission to destroy all magic in the DC Universe. But what if that mission took the Ghostly Guardian to OUR universe -- home of "street magician" David Blaine? Here's a "preview" of the (non-existant and never-to-be-published except here) cover to "Day of Vengence" #7, as the Spectre screams, "David Blaine Must Die!"

Bolland's "imaginary" inspiration

In issue #3 of "Dial B for BLOG," we showed you the cover for "DC's Greatest Imaginary Stories" by Brian Bolland. Here are three of the covers Bolland drew inspiration from: "The Marriage of Batman and Batwoman" by Swan/Kaye" (Batman #122); Jimmy Olsen Marries Supergirl" by Swan/Kaye (Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen #57); and "The Amazing Story of Superman-Red and Superman-Blue!" by Swan/Kaye (Superman #162). For those who have never heard of "Red/Blue," the story involves Superman splitting into two Supermen, solving all the world's problems, and marrying the girl of his dreams -- Lois for Red and Lana for Blue.

A "Dial H for HERO" hero: King Kandy

Every time I "Dial B for BLOG," a new post appears here -- but every time I dial H for HERO, I turn into a different superhero. Here's one of the whackiest: King Kandy! I first appeared as the King in House of Mystery #160. With my awesome costume, lollipop bombs, exploding gumdrops and licorice lasso, I strike terror into the hearts of evil-doers everywhere. Errr... don't I?!?

Logo Smashers League - 4

The X-logo takes a hit in X-Men #270 by Jim Lee, Lois rips up her own logo in Lois Lane # 89 by Neal Adams, and DD's logo is set on fire in Daredevil #194 by Miller/Janson. Whose logo will be the next to fall?
