| In 1972, comic book writers Steve Englehart, Gerry Conway, Len Wein and his wife, colorist Glynis Wein, took a trip to Rutland, Vermont to attend a party at Tom Fagan's house and see Rutland's annual Halloween parade. After the parade, Englehart, Conway and Wein all decided to write about their trip. In each of their stories -- "Amazing Adventures" and "The Mighty Thor" for Marvel, and "Justice League of America" for DC -- the writers added different superheroes and villains to spice up the action. The grand finale, in JLA, featured what might be called the very first DC-Marvel cross-over. This issue, Dial B for BLOG presents panels from all three stories! Let's start with Amazing Adventures. |
