ALAN MOORE'S "ALLIES"

When Alan Moore took over "Supreme," he began a brilliant, year-long story arc that paid tribute to the Silver Age DC Universe, complete with counterparts for Batman, Flash and friends. Just as the DC heroes formed the JLA, Moore's heroes formed a "fictional" super-team Moore called The Allies.

The Allies only appeared in Supreme -- most notably in Supreme #48, cover by Rob Liefeld, story by Alan Moore, fake covers by Rick Veitch -- but to add to the atmosphere, Veitch created fake "Allies" covers that recall different JLA covers. These covers, and the JLA scenes that inspired them, are pictured below!
